Your Role
The overall goal the IP Resource Analyst is to process requests for service sent by customers and to play a proactive role in the implementation, promotion and development of global Internet addressing policies.
- Process all types of IP and AS number resource requests.
- Handle all mailbox and telephone communications for support and requests for services.
- Update the database and promote its correct use.
- Ensure the fair and appropriate application of Internet policies and the implementation of the organization’s procedures within its service region.
- Actively contribute to the development of procedures in the Registration Services department.
- Deliver training, advice and support to customers and staff regarding the role of the organization and the effective use of the services of the department.
- Prepare statistics, presentations and policy proposals.
- Provide exemplary customer service support.
- 2+ years experience in the IT Industry.
- Knowledge of wide area networks and Internet technologies in relation to Internet number resources.
- Excellent English communication skills - both written and spoken.
- University Degree or relevant IT qualifications.
- The employer requires that all applicants have permission to work in The Netherlands/Europe or qualify for the Working Holiday visa (Australian, New Zealand or Canadian citizens only).

Your Role
Their platform is characterized by high-volume traffic and cutting-edge web 2.0 technology. More than 1500 Linux servers, located in 3 datacenters around Amsterdam, generate 4.5 billion page views per month.
The website runs on Gentoo Linux running Apache and MySQL. The main development languages are Python and PHP. Everything runs on 64-bit AMD or Intel platforms with 2-4 cores.
Your Profile
- Minimum of a Bachelor degree in IT.
- 3+ years of professional experience in a Linux variant, preferably have your knowledge of several distributions.
- Scripting and programming in BASH, PHP or Python is required.
- You have experience with at least 3 of the following technologies or server software: squid, apache, MySQL, LVS, Nagios, memcached, jabber, puppet, cfengine, pound/lighty/nginx, gfs/clustering, trac, subversion, git & ganglia or mrtg.
- Experience in building software and packages to generate a Linux distribution is a clear advantage.
- Extensive experience with TCP/IP, routing, firewalling and any dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF or BGP.
- Preferably you have ISP or large ICT experience as a Linux System Administrator or Programmer.
- Excellent English, both written and spoken.
- The Employer is willing to organize a Knowledge Migrant visa for exceptional people, however they would prefer to hire people who already live in Europe and are free to work in the Netherlands.
